Pro Football Hall of Fame

Dreams do come true. As a boy I watched the NFL and collected football cards of past, present and future Hall of Famers. I watched advertisements for the Hall and vowed that some day I would go. That day has come and I reveled in the experience.

Upon arrival, there is a replica of the field turf used in the stadium next to the parking lot.

After taking pictures there, a couple approached us and gave us coupons to get a couple of dollars off each ticket and we were impressed with the random act of kindness. We entered the museum and immediately saw a life size statue of Red Grange, which looks similar to the Heisman.

The first floor is where they display pictures of the newly enshrined members, along with several other pictures, tributes to the media and the gift shop.

Upstairs is where the history is. The first room is like a museum and is a tribute to the first hundred years of pro football (1892-1992)

The next room houses the statues of the enshrinees.

Upon closer look we see the details of each statue.

This is by no means the end. There were several rooms left including a room that honors individual records and a newly designed room dedicated to the Super Bowl.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame is a must for any football fan. It is advisable to make it a part of an east coast trip as we did, but the experience is worth the trip. In addition to the enshrinees, the records, and the history of the league, there are life size monuments that currently reflect each team's history in the league.

The Hall of Fame is every reason why you love football.
